Script first. You approve. Then we render.

Comicory starts with your story, drafts panel-by-panel dialogue, and places it over the generated art as editable lettering. The artwork stays untouched while you move a bubble away from a face, resize it for a longer line, or double-click it to rewrite the text. Comicory AI comic generator

Editable Lettering, Separate from the Art

Every generated panel can include dialogue and narration as a separate overlay. Comicory proposes the text, type, and starting position, but the lettering remains editable after the artwork finishes. Changes to a line or bubble layout do not spend another image-generation credit.

Dialogue Written for You

Give the AI a premise and it drafts concise dialogue and narration for each panel. Review every line in the script before generating the artwork.

Non-Destructive Editing

Double-click a bubble to edit its text, drag it to a better position, or use its resize handle to change the width. The underlying panel image stays the same.

Speech, Thoughts, and Narration

Choose between three lettering types in the editor. Speech uses a clean white comic bubble, thoughts use a cloud-style bubble, and narration appears as a caption or character voiceover. You can change the type whenever the tone of a line changes.

Speech and Thought

Keep spoken lines visually distinct from internal thoughts, and assign each entry to the character who is speaking or thinking.

Narration and Voiceover

Omniscient narration uses a classic caption box. Narration assigned to a story character appears as a labeled voiceover.

Speech Bubble Placement and Reading Order

Comicory gives each line a sensible starting position and spreads overlapping bubbles across the panel. You stay in control: drag bubbles away from faces or important action, resize them for a cleaner line break, and arrange them in the reading order you want. The lettering is included when you export the finished PDF, PNG, or ZIP.

Questions

About this generator.

Write or auto-generate a story, review the panel-by-panel dialogue, and render the artwork. Comicory then displays speech, thought, and narration as an editable layer over each panel so you can change the text and layout without regenerating the image.

Not to an arbitrary finished image yet. Comicory generates new comic panels from your story and optional character references, then adds editable bubbles over those generated panels.

Yes. Edit every line in the script before rendering, or open the Dialogue editor after rendering. You can also double-click a bubble on the panel to jump directly to that line. Text-only changes do not regenerate the artwork.

The same editable lettering system works across manga, comic, cartoon, anime, and webtoon artwork. It currently provides speech, thought, narration-caption, and character-voiceover treatments rather than a separate bubble library for every art style.

Yes. You can generate and edit the script before rendering, and new accounts receive starter credits for trying the full workflow. Additional one-time credit packs start at $4.99; a subscription is optional.

Yes. Drag a bubble directly on the panel to move it, select it to reveal the resize handle, and drag the handle to change its width. The saved position is used in the editor, viewer, and exported image.
