The Last Train — 4ページ目の1コマ目: Inside the dimly moving last train, Mara kneels beside Elias's seat and retrieves the sealed envelope from beneath it. She turns it over, seeing her name handwritten across the front, then carefully opens it. A small metal key slips into her palm beside a folded warning written in the unmistakable handwriting of Elias's estranged wife. Elias watches from the left, his face tightening with shame and fear. The train windows show blurred streetlamps and darkness, while their two fading photographs rest near their knees.
Mara:This is Mom's handwriting. What is this key for?
Elias:I have been receiving messages like this for weeks.
Mara:You knew someone wanted me kept away.
Elias:They ordered me to stay away from you. I was afraid to tell you.
