They argue about whether to tell their teacher. That night, Maya sneaks up to the school rooftop garden and the rock starts floating above her palm. Leo arrives breathless and sees it too. Back in the clubroom the next morning, the rock is dark and silent again, and Maya locks it in the specimen cabinet. On the rooftop at sunset, the two friends make a pact to keep the secret, shaking hands as the city glows below.
